Well, I'm at school, which (hopefully) will be winding down and I (hopefully) will get out of Spanish with a C. If I retake that test. And turn in the homework. And do the diary thing that she wants us to do every weekend. If I do that, I'm good. Hopefully. But I have a D in Spanish right now. I REALLY want to NOT have to redo Spanish. Nothing against my Spanish teacher or anything, but I just really don't want to have to redo Spanish. That would be really annoying. REALLY annoying. And I have a Geometry test today. I want to do well on that because that will (hopefully) raise my grade to a 78 or 79 so I can get a B average for the year. And I HOPE I do well on the next -how many are there? THREE? -history tests so I can get a B in History. And I'm definitely not going to get a 4.0 GPA this quarter, much less a 4.0 for the year. It'll be a stretch to get a 3.0 for the year. Well, it'll be a stretch to get a 3.0 this quarter, due to my lousy Spanish grade. HANG ON! Before I leave, MORE LYRICS!!! who is he Who is he with his marry me With his ring and his marry me the nerve the gall This is not Not what was meant to be How could he ruin it all With those two words I thought I knew him Thought that he knew me When did it change What did I miss A kiss When I thought all along That we were meant to find frontiers How could I be so wrong How I need How I need my sisters here If I can't share my dreams What were they for I thought our promise That we would never change and never part I thought together We'd amaze the world How can I live my dreams or even start when everything has come apart I thought home was all I'd ever want My attic all I'd ever need Now nothing feels the way it was before And I don't know how to proceed I only know I'm meant for something more I've got to know if I can be Astonishing There's a life That I am meant to lead A life like nothing I have known I can feel it And it's far from here I've got to find it on my own Even now I feel it's heat upon my skin A life of passion that pulls me from within A life that I am making to begin There must be somewhere I can be Astonishing Astonishing I'll find my way I'll find it my way I'll find it in unexpected and unknown I'll find my life in my own way Today Here I go And there's no turning back My great adventure has begun I may be small But I've got giant plans To shine as brightly as the sun I will blaze until I find my time and place I will be fearless Surrendering modesty and grace I will not disappear without a trace I'll shout and start a riot Be anything but quiet Christopher Columbus I'll be Astonishing Astonishing Astonishing at last
I know that the capitalization is awkward, and I know that It's in paragraph form (again), so...yeah.
That was "Astonishing" from Little Women, another awesome musical!

The joys of SOL week....
Yes, I am at home. Yes, I am listening to music (kind of) loudly. But, in my defense, it's Carbon Leaf, and Carbon Leaf is amazing, and nobody is home except for me. And half of my Carbon Leaf songs are going to hit 100 plays soon...as in I'll have heard them 100 times. Wow. I didn't know I liked Carbon Leaf so much. Their old-ish songs are some of their best, in my opinion. Like "One Prairie Outpost" and "When I'm Alone" and "Love, Loss, Hope, Repeat" and "Life Less Ordinary." Those are really good songs. Not that their other songs aren't good, but I think those are the best. But that's just me. And...yeah. I would post a part of a story, but there's one problem-I don't have any part of any story with me right now. And here are some lyrics because I'm bored (Life Less Ordinary by Carbon Leaf):
Live a life less ordinary/ Live a life extraordinary with me/ Live a life less sedentary/ Live a life evolutionary with me/ Well I hate to be a bother/ But it's you and there's no other/ I do believe/ You can call me naive but/ I know me very well/ At least as far as I can tell/ And I know what I need// The night you came into my life/ Well it took the bones of me, took the bones of me/ You blew away my storm and strife/ And shook the bones of me, shook the bones of me/ By the way, I do know why you stayed away/ I will keep tongue-tied next time// Live a life less ordinary/ Live a life extraordinary with me/ My face had said too much/ Before our hands could even touch/ To greet a hello/ So much for going slow/ A little later on that year/ I told you that I loved you dear/ What do you know/ This you weren't prepared to hear/ I'm a saddened man, I'm a broken boy/ I'm a toddler with a complex toy/ I've fallen apart/ since the ambush of your heart// The night you came into my life/ Well it took the bones of me, took the bones of me/ You blew away my storm and strife/ And shook the bones of me, shook the bones of me/ By the way, I do know why you stayed away/ I will keep tongue-tied but// Honey understand, honey understand/ I won't make demands/ Honey understand, honey understand/ We could walk without a plan/ Honey understand honey/ honey understand/ I won't rest in stone all alone/ Honey understand, honey understand/ I'm all ready to go/ But you already know// Live a life less ordinary/ Live a life extraordinary with me/ If I could name you in this song/ Would it make you smile and sing along/ This is the goal/ to get into your soul/ If I could make you dance for joy/ Could that be the second-chance decoy/ The bird-in-hand I would need/ To help you understand// The night you came into my life/ well it took the bones of me, took the bones of me/ You blew away my storm and strife/ And shook the bones of me, shook the bones of me/ By the way, I do know why you stayed away/ I will keep tongue-tied next time
Now I'm listening to Desperation Song by Carbon Leaf. It, too, is a very good song. It's one of their more Celtic-y songs, but it's still good. Carbon Leaf is really awesome. I love them. Apparently they have a new album out, but I haven't heard anything on it yet. Oh, well.
And I should probably leave now if I want to get to school on time...
