Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.
Sam: I know. It’s all wrong. By rights we shouldn’t even be here. But we are. (stands, leans against a wall, looking out into the distance) It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going, because they were holding on to something.
Another awesome Lord of the Rings monologue. This is from The Two Towers, though, at the very end, when they're in Minias Tirith (I think). It's a rather depressing monologue, but it's rather nice, too. It's another one of those awesome don't-turn-back monologues. Okay I gotta pack now. Bye.

Aragorn monolouge
Hold your ground, hold your ground. Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! For all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!
This is an Aragorn monologue. And I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I think it's like the best monologue ever. It's from "Return of the King," and it's just before the EPIC epic battle, and Aragorn is being all like, don't give up hope, and stuff, and it's amazing. Seriously, whenever people do epic monologues at times like those, I have this mantra going in my head that's like, "Say, 'I bid you stand, Men of the West.' Say 'I bid you stand Men of the West.' SAY IT SAY IT SAY IT!!!!!" Seriously that's what goes on in my head whenever scenes like that occur. Like in the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie (At World's End), when Elizabeth's all like, okay, we have absolutely no chance of winning this thing, and our enemies probably want to beat the s**t out of us, but fight the s**t out of yourselves before they get to it, so I BID YOU STAND MEN OF THE WEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously I wish she'd said that.
Okay going now.

Well...
I'm going to go white water rafting this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!! This, of course, means that I will be forced on a five hour car ride to New River, West Virginia beginning at eight tomorrow morning, and arriving back on Monday at one, which of course means that I'm not going to be able to post until then. So, today I'm going to post many song lyrics and pretend it's the Daily Post for those days. And then I might post again for the heck of it. And then I'm going to pack and go to Tae Kwon Do. But first I'm going to pack. And then Tae Kwon Do. And then eat. And then post. Okay, I'm wasting time. I'll go now. And start googling song lyrics and poems and monologues and stuff like that. Okay going now.
yeah.
I love this picture. And I have to go to class now, but I love it and I wanted to post it. It's supposed to be sarcastic, but still. Okay, going now.
By the way, nobody died last night.
And I didn't die, either, in case you were wondering.
And I think this is officially my shortest post.
