Camp NaNo and stuff!

Back from backpacking in New Mexico, which was super fun and all! HUZZAH! I didn't die, I kind of got a sunburn, and I got one of my first actual tans. Unfortunately, it was a watch tan on a somewhat-legit arm tan. On one arm.

I also lost my noveling pen, which was also unfortunate. I took my noveling notebook (and, thus, the pen) on the trail, and then took out my pen because we needed a writing implement on the map, and then it fell out of my pocket at an unknown juncture. It was very, very unfortunate, because I never got to write on the trail, and the notebook wound up as just a dead weight. BOO!

But it was a fun trip, and now I'm back at work and writing and work and writing. I got asked to work full time, which means no more late mornings, less time to write, but a lot more money in my college stash, and some more time with the lovely but loud kids (and the one girl who barely speaks English).

Anyway, on to writing stuff, which is why I am here at all.

So:

Current page: 46 (well, 45 and a few lines)

Target Page: 45, if I am doing the proper word count, which I am this time.

Location in story: Lalania is trying to foreshadow stuff by warning Shya about how mean Tayana is (as if she didn't already know). Shyasha Rinkari, being the headstrong bastard that she is (she IS illigitimate, so it COUNTS), doesn't listen to her. But that's okay, because if she did listen, there'd be no PLOT, and PLOT is important, yes?

Surprises: Shya is providing more motivational conversations than I thought she would.

Goals: Establish Telsiel better soon. Plot needs him and Shya established properly, otherwise it won't work, even with La's foreshadowing and stuff.

So... yeah. TIME FOR MORE WRITING!

Also, I'm moving into college in two weeks. AAAHHH!!! I still haven't decided whether I'm keeping this blog or starting a new one. Will let you know.

Also: need to work on writing in complete sentences again.
