English stuff

Okay, I know, more freaking English. But this is important and I never thought that there would be an actual law about this, but I don't care, because the million dollar question could be when the Child Marriage Restraint Act of 1929 went into effect, and I could say that it was April first, 1930. Anyway, that's not the important part. The important part is that there is actually a LAW. And if a guy, underage or not, marries an underage girl, the penalty is three months in solitary confinement and a fine. If the person who is in charge of the minor arranged the marriage, then they could be arrested as well. But the weird thing is that, and I quote, "Provided that no woman shall be punishable with imprisonment." WOAH!

English conclusion

So, from what I've researched, there are no real problems with Indian Americans getting married from love, just so long as the other person is of Indian descent. So now I'm finding quotes and stuff about love and marriage. I need 3 "artistic representations". I already have the book. I'm going to also do quotes about love and marriage from Indians and from Americans and from Indian Americans and also some poems about lord knows what. But there is an awesome poet that I can't remember the name of and his name is really hard to spell, but he's really good and he's Indian American so I'm going to use some of his poems, along with poems by Vikram Seth, who's also Indian American. So yeah.
