glasses!

Yes, strange but true, I have glasses now. It's rather surprising to see how much detail I'm supposed to already be seeing without the glasses. I'm wearing them now, even though I don't technically need to, but whatever. So now I can see all the roads on that big map of Europe on the opposite wall, and I can kind of see where all the words are for the Interstates and the cities and the towns and whatnot. It's kind of cool. And I'm hungry. And I'm babysitting later. I'm going to bring the laptop, only because I have to work on an English paper, but I'm probably going to end up blogging. And listening to my iPod and stuff. Once I've put them to bed, of course. I'm hungry. And I'm going to have to go upstairs soon to work on my English thing, but whatever. I'm staying down here for now and type what I can about life and whatnot. And maybe I'll post some song lyrics or something.

I know I have no right
but sometimes late at night
I watch you in the attic
pacing back and forth like a maniac
I’ve never met a girl like you
anyone at all like you
this is very nice
such a lovely party
the music sounds so thrilling
it makes a person feel like dancing
I'm very good. I won a medal for dancing at school.
I don’t dance. Besides, I have a patch on the back of my dress.
A patch? Let me see!
No! No!
I like it. That patch could start a whole new fashion. Dance with me tonight and I guarantee by next spring, every girl in Concord will be wearing a patch on her dress!
We could do a hundred things,
Do anything you please.
We could fly on golden wings,
Across the seven seas.
I’ll bet you’ll get a camel through an needle,
If you’ll take a chance on me…
You’re a lunatic!
We could catch a thousand stars,
And stand them on a pin.
We could leave from here to Mars,
And make the planet spin.
If you want to do all the things you’ve ever dreamed of-
Come on! Take a chance on me…
We could be such friends,
Friends are never lonely.
All I know is books-
Books are solitary.
But I’d see you everyday,
How you live in your own way,
And you make me want to dare...
To take a chance on you!
All right. We could box if you like.
You box?
You ready?
I should warn you-I won a medal for boxing at school.
Hm. Is that how you win medals?
We could live a million dreams,
But only if we dare…
We could go to such extremes,
There’s so much we could share!
We’ll circle the world,
Doing all we ever dreamed of!
And we’ll live in our own way,
And I’ll see you every day!
We’ll be the best of friends,
When you take a chance on me!

Okay, green is Laurie (a guy, full name Theodore Lawrence III) and black is Jo (Josephine March). I really like this song. I really like a lot of songs. But I'm beginning to not like it when fingerprints mysteriously get on my glasses. But whatever. I have to go upstairs now to do my English thing-the video. Yeah. Going now. Later.
