Kidnap! Romance! Tap dancing!

Well, that should have been the title of one of the earlier summaries of the musical, which is now, sadly, over. Well, not technically. We officially finish on Tuesday, which is when everyone turns in their scripts and such. But still. It's pretty much over. Although I didn't hugely enjoy tap dancing till the cows came home, I'll still miss it. The thing I'll miss most is hanging out with the SUPER awesome cast and being onstage. I will NOT miss the makeup and the hair and everything. I honestly look like a raccoon in stage makeup. I'm not kidding. It's because of the eyeliner, I think. My eyeliner pencil is terrible, so it gives a really thick line, and I had to put it on the top and the bottom of my eye, so it never fully comes off, which is the most annoying thing ever. I also found out something about one of my friends that I'm not saying for his privacy, but it was kind of awkward when I found out. Even though I sort of kind of already guessed... nevermind.
Last night was the best night ever because on my friend's solo during "Forget about the Boy," she was supposed to sing "Barney Schriver, CPA," (not sure if I spelled that right), but instead she did the name of our director/ chorus teacher, Chorus Guy! It was officially the best thing in the world.
We do quotes for each person every year for the musical. Like, the director or someone writes down something that the person said (or sang) that really describes them on a piece of paper folded into a fortune cookie and stuffed into a miniature Chinese take-out box or something like that (that's what we got this year, anyway), and then at the cast party everyone gets their quotes. Anyway, the director did some explaining before he gave some of the quotes, like mine. For mine, his explination was that apparently I have a lot of potential and I'm super active in the musical/ drama department (which is sort of true), so my quote was my second line: "this one, you'll want to see," because apparently I'm going to be going places. Something like that, anyway. I thought it was sort of sweet. And everyone was like, "awwww," when he said it.
So now I have to go do the inevitable: homework. Groan.
