Oh, and by the way....
Today was bike to work day... er... to school, in my case, I guess. I did bike to school. But my dad wouldn't let me bring my backpack on my back on my bike. Why? Because my dad apparently thinks it's too heavy. 3 five subject notebooks, an overstuffed binder, 2 normal journals, one 3 subject journal, a graphing calculator, and my wallet is NOT heavy. Well it is, I guess. But still. It isn't THAT heavy. Anyway, point is, I biked to school and got my doughnut in chemistry (he was bribing us with them, and I felt like it anyway), and I'm not allowed to bike home from school on account of my bike being in the back of the car (I forgot my bike lock and there's the whole backpack issue, or lack thereof.) along with my helmet. But I'm probably going to go biking at some point today. Or at least walk to Starbucks. Or go home and find my bike and bike to Starbucks. Or something. Anyway, I still have my dad's ratty old bike gloves, because they're awesome and I love them. He's probably going to kill me for keeping them for seven hours. Or however long it's been. Anyway, I probably should go... it's the end of the day, after all. But I don't care. I have to be back here at 6:15 anyway for the show - it's the call time for the show. And it's going to ROCK. And you should see it. Because it's awesome. And if you don't... oh well. Your loss.
By the way....
1. I did not get into a good choir.
2. I got into cabaret.
3. I have to change my song for cabaret.
4. I was going to sing "think of me" from "phantom of the opera."
5. Now I'm going to sing "wouldn't it be lovely" from "my fair lady."
6. With a Cockney accent.
7. Our show goes up this week.
8. You should come see it.
9. Our drama department rocks.

heh... heh... heh...
I know, I'm officially The World's Worst Poster. I'm also the World's Worst At Taking Hits, because I spent two hours crying yesterday because I didn't get into a good choir, and all of my friends (AND some kids who are going to be freshmen next year) got into better choirs than I did, and I thought I had a chance of getting into an upper choir. But I didn't. And it made me very, very, very mad. So I spent two hours crying about it. And it didn't help that I actually KNOW the current eighth grader who's going to be in a better chorus than I will.
I also have my gold award panel today, to get my project passed. I hope it will get passed, just so I can get it over with until August, when I'm actually due to do the thing. I also have rehearsal that ends an hour before. And the panel place is half an hour away. Great.
Anyway, I also need to start posting WAY more often, because this is the second time I have posted in the whole month of May, because high school is the worst invention since man invented math and the most stressful thing since excessive snow. Except for math. And auditions. And unfairness. And not being able to get into a good choir when someone younger than me did. Not that it matters, or anything. I just really wanted to get into a better choir than the one I'm in. And I also thought I was a lot better at singing than it seems to appear that I am. So that just sucks. And it doesn't help that I'm probably not going to be able to audition for Cabaret, either. It's official. The music department hates me.

stupidness...
It's stupid how I haven't posted in a long time. Sorry about that... I'll try to post more often, but please forgive me if I don't. It's very stressful, this school thing. And since I post kind of rarely now, I often forget I even HAVE a blog, which is kind of stupid as well. Anyway, moving on with life, here is a list of important stuff that has happened since I last posted (When was that, anyway?):
1. Choir audition. It went all right, I guess.
2. Brother got his eagle award. Hooray! I remembered the names of ALL of the Eagle scouts because they were ALL in the same den in second grade and I was always tagging along with them (and because their names were printed in the program thing). And now they're eagle scouts. YAY!
3. We're singing Queen in chorus. I think I've said that several times before now, but it's SO AWESOME that I'm saying it again. I'm PSYCHED!
4. We're also singing a Beatles medley with all the rest of the choirs. There are seriously like fifteen songs in that entire thing. It's awesome.
5. I get to die in the epic fight in the all-grades show. It's kind of annoying and kind of funny at the same time. And painful. Have YOU ever gotten jabbed in the ribs, had your wrist broken, got kneed in the head, fallen over, and gotten "kicked in the face" twenty times during a single rehearsal? Yeah, thought so. But it is still kind of fun. Except for the whole dying thing.
And it's stage fighting, so the only thing that really hurts is when I fall over, and it minorly hurts when my fighting partner kicks me in the hands (NOT the face. It's a cool stage fighting trick thing. Keep the hands in front of the face and react when their foot makes contact with your hands. If you do it right, it'll make a noise and everyone will be surprised when you stand up without a big bruise on your chin).
Well, I have to go to creative writing now. We watched Spirited Away, which happens to be my new favorite movie (apart from Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean). And now we're doing random stuff.
Goodbye for now.

okay, moving on with life
Okay, Philadelphia trip:
I woke up at 4:45, and the bus departed at 6:30. We sang in a mall, went shopping, ate lunch, then we went to the Nationals/ Phillies game. The Nationals won. It was awesome, except for the part where a drunk Phillies fan threw a beer bottle at us. We went on a Ghost Tour after the game, which was really cool but kind of creepy. I went on pretty much the same tour after sixth grade, but it was still cool. After that, we went to the hotel for the first time, and then we went to bed. The people in my room, at least, talked for quite a while before going to bed. I was rooming with three eighth graders, but I still had fun with them.
The next morning, we woke up at 6:30 and went to breakfast at 7. At 8:30, we went on a tour that wasn't really a tour, and then we went to lunch. Then we went to the music clinics. My choir went last, and we only had like ten minutes to perform and get critique for one of our songs. It was really annoying, but the guy doing the critiques was really cool. After that, we went back to the hotel to change and then we could go to another shopping opportunity if we wanted. I went, just because, but it was really lame- just tourist trap type stuff. Then we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner, and then we went to a concert by the Philadelphia Orchestra. They were REALLY good, especially the pianist who did Beethoven's 2nd concerto. Anyway, then we went back to the hotel, then we went to sleep.
The next morning, we woke up, ate breakfast, and then I came back, taught my friend how to knit, and then my body decided that it didn't like sausage and puked it back up again. I was able to make it to the toilet before it came out, though, which was really lucky. Anyway, then we went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and then we went to lunch on this cruise thing at which I got a noise headache because it was really loud. Then we went to the Franklin Institute of Science Museum, and then we went to Dave and Buster's for dinner and gaming and stuff, where my headache worsened, and then the bus took us back home.
Overall, I had a LOT of fun. I think that, comparing to Atlanta, I'm not entirely sure which I liked better - both were really fun.
