Well, I'm back at school. It's kind of weird to be back. And there's the fact that I have to give out all of my teacher gifts today and tomorrow because I wasn't able to in December because of the snow days. So it's kind of awkward.
And I also have a THREE HOUR REHEARSAL today, which is even LESS fun than coming back to school. I'll have the chance to dance in the new character shoes that I got in New York, though, so that's good.
Being in New York was really fun. I got to see my cousin, whom I hadn't seen since 2008. So it was cool to see him. We also saw "Wicked" and "Shrek." They were both really good. I really couldn't say which was better. They were both AWESOME. I liked this one song from "Shrek" that was called "Who I'd Be." It's the song right before intermission, and it's also the sort of song that is the ballad sung by the seemingly-invincible character, in this case, Shrek. But Donkey and Fiona come in near the end. I loved it. I currently have the entire "Shrek" Soundtrack on my iPod. I know. I liked it that much. I already have all the good "Wicked" songs on my iPod, so I don't really need to buy any more. But the entire "Shrek" soundtrack was good, so I bought the whole album. GO ME!
We also went to Dylan's Candy Bar, the M&Ms World, the Hershey's Store, Bloomingdale's, and Borders, even though we didn't buy anything at the last two. Bloomingdale's was my mom's idea. I already have all the clothes I need, thanks to Christmas. And I am also a true chorus kid: I didn't get the Shrek T-Shirt, baseball cap, coffee mug, or even the souvenir program thing. No, I really am a true chorus nerd, because I got Shrek: the Musical: The Song Book.
I know I'm weird. But I don't care.

my life would suck without you
Guess this means you're sorry
You're standing at my door
Guess this means you take back
All you said before
Like how much you wanted
Anyone but me
Said you'd never come back
But here you are again
'Cause we belong together now, yeah
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me
And honestly,
My life (my life) would suck (would suck) without you
Maybe I was stupid for telling you goodbye
Maybe I was wrong for tryin' to pick a fight
I know that I've got issues
But you're pretty messed up too
Either way, I found out I'm nothing without you
'Cause we belong together now, yeah
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me
And honestly,
My life (my life) would suck (would suck) without you
Being with you
Is so disfunctional
I really shouldn't miss you
But I can’t let you go
Oh yeah
'Cause we belong together now, yeah
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me

new year (almost!)
Okay, so I've figured out a plan: I'm going to stay up til midnight, as I always have. Then I will post again soon after midnight, and it will count as the First Post Of 2010. HOLY COW!
Anyway, I went to a Japanese restaurant with my friend and her family this evening. It was really fun. My friend and I had a Shirley Temple Chugging Contest. I won, even though I had a brainfreeze. The cook also threw bits of shrimp at us and we attempted to catch it in our mouths. For the first time in a while, I wasn't able to do it. I don't know what happened.
I'm super psyched for tomorrow. My mom doesn't think I should stay up til midnight because I have to wake up at eight tomorrow in order to get to the train station on time. But I don't really care. I can take a shower tonight and then use the spare time to double check everything.
Right now I'm listening to songs from "Phantom of the Opera". I love it. Right now Music of the Night is playing. My favorite song is either Learn To Be Lonely, Music of the Night, Angel of Music, or Think of Me. I really couldn't decide if I had to pick one of those as my all time favorite.

Happy almost new year!
Happy New Year's Eve! I won't be able to post tomorrow because I'm going to New York. I'm not going tonight because train fares are way up and I really hate super huge ginormous crowds like there's sure to be if we go to Time's Square tonight at midnight. So we're staying around here and hanging out with friends and going to a Japanese restaurant, like we usually do. New York should be fun, especially because I'll get to see my cousin. I haven't seen him since last September, before I donated my hair and before he moved to New York, so it'll be cool to see him again. We're going to see two Broadway shows while in New York: Wicked and Shrek. My mom kept trying to convince me to see Billy Elliot instead of Shrek, but I didn't want to, because Shrek closes the day we leave, and Billy Elliot is running until at least August, so it would've been a wasted chance to see Shrek. Plus I liked the Disney movie, and the music seems good, so the musical should be good. Plus it's Broadway, so it's bound to be amazing.

post number 294
Okay, I really need to get out of the house. I've been inside for most of the day for the last two days, and it's really starting to bug me how much TV I've been watching. I know that I really shouldn't stay in front of the screen for so long for so many days in a row, but it's gotten into a habit that I really need to break. You see, my only problem's that there's nowhere to go to get out of the house that's not super cold and thus very, very, very annoying. So does anybody have any ideas? My mom probably would, but she's not back yet. See, there is nowhere to go when you only have a dollar. The student fare on the bus is sixty cents, but you need exact change. I could take a walk, which is probably what I'm going to do. But I really need a destination to get me out of this hole. As in, I still need to take a walk. I just need to walk somewhere. Like, not aimlessly wandering through the forest paths like I have before. But walking to Starbucks. Or like the grocery store or something. But just somewhere to go, something to do. Something to get me off my fat and lazy butt and into the world for a change. Do you know what I mean?
post number 293
I know it's been a while since I last wrote. But whatever. I haven't had a lot to do, because I've been at home most of the time because it's break and I'm the only one who is home on the typical day now, until tonight when my mom and brother come back. But, well, here I am now. YAY!!! In other news, I have started a new story. No, you're not allowed to see it. Yet. I want to get it a little bit longer first. And I still want to edit some bits of it. I've also found a new source of entertainment: generator websites. I love them. It's really funny to see what some of the outcomes are. My two favorites are seventhsanctum.com and nine.frenchboys.net. They're really cool. You should check them out. Anyhoo, I watched some extras on the "Return of the King" DVD last night (I didn't know those extras existed before because we have the Extended Edition DVD and the extras discs make it look like it's all like a visual history of the books when it's actually behind-the-scenes stuff) and I learned something interesting. That interesting something was that Sean Astin and Elijah Wood met for the first time, before principal photography, in a hotel in Los Angeles. That's not the interesting part. The interesting part was that they were in the same hotel when they went to the Oscars for Return of the King, they were in the same hotel, and they went and hung out in the same corner of the lobby where they first met while they were there. Insane, isn't it?
Well, I'm going now.
Well, I'm going now.

Post Number 292
Well, I wrote twenty pages in my diary today. And I also spent several hours watching TV and movies. And I really should get a life and do something else, but I don't have anything else to do, so here I am. Blogging. And spending another age on the computer.
However, my iPod is being stupid, which really bugs me, because I love my iPod. I've tried to charge it from both computers, but it's not working. Apparently, neither computer recognizes the USB, probably because I was stupid and pulled out the USB before it was off the "Synchronizing, do not disconnect" screen. That happens sometimes. Usually my mom can figure out what's wrong with it, but she isn't here right now, she's out of town, so she can't do it. And I can't do it. I don't get it. At all.
Right now I am listening to "The Phantom of the Opera" soundtrack. I love it. ITunes still works, even though the computers are being stupid and not recognizing the USB. But still. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Hooray!
Well, here I am again. I'm super happy right now because it's a Saturday (YAY!) and I have the house pretty much to myself, which means my mom can't bug me about anything right now. YAY!!! So I'm pretty much going to sit around all day and do nothing, because, for once, I can. And it's winter break. HOORAY!!! In all, I had a very good Christmas. YAY!!! I have some extra energy right now because I'm half eating lunch as I write this. But whatever. There's nobody around to bug me about anything, which makes me super happy. I could start singing. No, I'm not going to start singing. My dad just came back to get the calendars he wants to take to his office. Only my dad would willingly go into the office on a Saturday. I have no idea what I will do with the day, but sometimes wonderful stuff happens when you don't have any plans. So anyway, I have nothing to do today, which is exactly what I need-a day to do nothing in order to figure out what some of my presents do. I know what they can do, but still. It's still a lot of fun to play around with stuff, you know?
I'm going now.
I'm going now.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
Hooray!!! It's finally Christmas!!! That means that we all need to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Or just yell "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Or something. Or sing a Christmas carol. Or just make something up. We all love creativity. So...
Hark the Herald angels sing,
glory to the newborn king!
peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled.
Joyful all ye nations rise,
join the triumph of the skies,
hark the herald angels sing:
glory to the newborn king...
That's all I remember. Anyway, the point is, even though it's unlikely that Jesus was born in December (why would shepherds be grazing the sheep in December?), it's the official celebrated date: Jesus's birthday. YAY!!! Okay, moving on with life. I am very happy right now. I got a coat that I will probably ACTUALLY wear out and about, instead of a sweatshirt (which my mom hates) or the big puffy coat that's warm and everything, but still really annoying because of the million layers of fabric (which I hate). So my mom went out and got me a coat I'd actually wear. It's sort of like a trench coat, except not really, but whatever. I love it.

I. Love. The. Nutcracker.
The Nutcracker is officially amazing. I just wanted to say that. I love it. I know that I didn't get to see the ballet at ALL this year, which makes me only the slightest bit mad, but I still have the Super Easy Nutcracker Piano Book That I Got in Sixth Grade and Which I Can Sight-Read Super Easily, and I have the soundtrack, but still. It's not the same as actually seeing it. The composer (I know his name, I'm just not putting it up because I can't spell it), even though he died 116 years ago (yes, I am THAT much in love with his music), is officially the COOLEST person EVER. Except for maybe Johnny Depp. And Orlando Bloom. And Hans Zimmer. And maybe Alan Menken. Maybe. And probably J.R.R. Tolkien. And probably C.S. Lewis. But still. He's defenitely up in the Top 100 List of Coolest People Ever. He's probably top 50 as well. He might even make the top 20. I don't know. If I had to do a List of Awesome People, in no particular order of awesomeness, just a bunch of awesome people, it would go like this:
- God
- Jesus
- the Composer of the Nutcracker Whose Name I Can't Spell but You All Have Heard Of Anyway
- Orlando Bloom
- Johnny Depp
- Viggo Mortensen
- C.S. Lewis
- J.R.R. Tolkien
- My Mom
- My Dad
- My Brother
- My amigos from elementary school (lots of them)
- My amigos from church/ ASP (lots of them)
- My amigos from high school (there are lots)
- Alan Menken
- Teachers!
- Other awesome pplz at church (lots of them)
- my imaginary friends. you know you have some as well. come on...
- Fictional Characters whom I love and adore
- Jack Sparrow. You know you love him. I know he's not under "Johnny Depp," but still. He needs his own place, along with.....
- ARAGORN! Hooray!
- Eowyn
- Keanu Reeves
- Hilary Duff
- Miranda Otto
- Carbon Leaf. The band.
Post Number 288
You know how sometimes some publishers will compile the first few books of a series into one book? Well, last night at this party/ gift exchange with my friends, one of my friends gave me the first three books of the Vampire Kisses series (all rolled into one copy), and I was up til like 12:45 last night reading it. THEY'RE SO GOOD! AAAAH! And then I went to bed and didn't get to sleep til like two, and then I woke up and I just finished the last half of it, just now. It's sort of like Twilight, except not really, because the main character, Raven, is goth and actually has a brain, unlike Bella. And Raven has hobbies, even though they include vampires, it's more classic vampire than "oh, Alexander is so hot." Even though it is partially that, it isn't the entirety of the book. But it's REALLY GOOD! I just started the second book. It's in the "oh, I'm so sad, the love of my life just left town for good" part. But still. The second book, "Kissing Coffins," is good, judging by all five pages of it that I have read.
AND by the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!
